As part of the Holistic Training Program at Huntlee Academy last week Josh Isaac, Dominic Butler and Shakaya Teneti attended a 3-day Forklift program at our Training Partner’s facility at HPOTS in Cessnock.
They were all successful in the Safework NSW High Risk Work Assessment at the completion of the course. Their Forklift Licences should arrive in the mail soon!
Josh, Dominic and Shakaya all commented on how good the trainer Jesse was at HPOTS. Thank you to Bronwyn and her team for their ongoing partnership with Huntlee Academy. Shakaya undertook the course to help with a job application for her dream job – another example of how our training program enables employees to graduate to higher paid and more skilful long term careers outside the Academy.
Josh (20) and Dominic (21) were offered opportunities at Huntlee Academy in January and February this year respectively and are gaining sustainable skills in our Fencing department. Huntlee Academy look forward to assisting them both attain more licences and tickets to add to their portfolios whilst they gain valuable experience on the ground.
Shakaya has been with Huntlee Academy since August 2020 working in our Parks and Gardens department. And guess what – she got the job!
